Foray Into Fitness
Although January may be coming to a close, don’t let that mean the end to your fitness journey too! It can be hard to stay motivated as time goes on and healthy new year resolutions can start to fade into distant memories, but the positives of just a small work-out a couple of times a week are endless!
Exercise is a great way to boost your mood in the cold wet months ahead, so why not treat yourself to some new fitness equipment to help you stay motivated? We’ve picked some of our favourite home work-out essentials, all available with a One4all Gift Card, to see you through until the gyms open again.
Feel fabulous while you work out in a snazzy pair of leggings. Wearing something you feel good in while you exercise will really help to keep you motivated and make getting ready for your daily workout routine a bit more exciting. We’re loving this patterned pair of leggings from Marks & Spencer to brighten up our fitness sessions this winter.

When heading out for a run, it is essential to make sure you are wearing the correct footwear to prevent any injuries. A good pair of trainers might seem like a hefty investment, but they are worth the money every time and you’ll be able to tell the difference between a good pair, and the old pair you keep under the stairs! Asics is a great brand to try if you’re looking for a new pair of running shoes, available at John Lewis.
ASICS GEL-PULSE 12 Men's Running Shoes, Black/White, £90.00 from John Lewis
Although an exercise mat isn’t an essential piece of equipment that should stop you from completing your work-out, it is a preferable piece to have. A mat will help to stabilise you while completing tricky moves, as well as save you from lying on dirty floors! There are loads of great options out there, but we’re particular fans of this Oak & Reed exercise mat from TK Maxx.
OAK & REED, Mauve Exercise Mat 182x60cm, £16.99 from TK Maxx
Adding a piece of strength training equipment to your home work out is a simple way to take your exercise to the next level. This 2 pack of resistance bands from Argos will really help to mix up your work outs and add new challenges as your capabilites develop. Use them to help develop your squats or enhance your streching at the end of a session.
Opti Hip Resistance Bands - Set of 2, £14.99 from Argos
Wow! After a long week of working out, from body conditioning to cardio, your muscles can get really sore.
