Thank You Teacher 2021 Competition Winners

After a school year that was made up of digital classrooms and virtual learning, it’s more important than ever to say a big ‘thank you teacher’ to all the nation’s fantastic teachers who continued to educate and support their classes from afar.

Before the final bell rings, we asked primary school pupils across the country to design a Thank You Teacher Gift Card featuring a picture of their favourite teacher for a chance to win a £100 One4all Gift Card and £50 gift card for their teacher. The competition, which is run in partnership with Primary Times, is now in its third year and we were thrilled to receive so many entries from some incredible talented young artists.

We’re delighted to reveal that Hamstel Junior School pupil James Bambrook, age 10, is the competition winner. James impressed the expert gift card design panel with his bold illustration which features his teacher Mr Smith flying through the sky in a super teacher costume. Commenting on his win, James said: ‘I am so happy to have won the competition. I chose to draw Mr Smith because he’s a great teacher who has helped me and my class so much this year. I can’t wait to give him the prize before the summer holidays!’

James’ winning design has been added to the One4all range as a limited-edition Digital Gift Card Design.

There were also two runners-up prizes of £50 One4all Gift Cards up for grabs and these were awarded to Eastbury Community School pupil Michael Scudder, age 7, and Halstead Preparatory School pupil Anoushka Kumar, age 10.

Michael’s design featured his teacher Ms Nasreen and several of his classmates. Commenting on his design, Michael said: ‘I’m really happy to be runner-up in this competition for my drawing of Ms Nasreen and my friends. Ms Nasreen is my favourite teacher, and I can’t wait for her to teach me again next year.’

Anoushka’s design was an excellent portrait of her teacher Mrs Hutchings surrounded by various scientific symbols and books. Commenting on her win, Anoushka said: ‘Mrs Hutchings is my favourite teacher, and she makes learning so fun at home and in school. I’m really happy to be runner-up in this competition and Mrs Hutchings is really pleased too.’

From all of us here at One4all, thank you to everyone who entered and well done to James, Michael and Anoushka on their winning entries. With such a high standard of competition, we wanted to share some of the other brilliant entries we received. Check out the gallery below:
